Behind Pendrell Street
Located in Vancouver’s West End, this is the city’s only intact Victorian-Edwardian streetscape featuring houses built between 1888 and 1942. The houses were slated for demolition, then saved and restored. The lane at the back of Pendrell Street has beautifully planted lush borders.
Jane Durante – “Great laneway treatment in the West End to provide the community with the opportunity for urban agriculture. The garden elements throughout the neighbourhood make you feel as if you were walking through a village.”
